You made it — welcome!
If this were my studio, I’d offer you something to drink.
Since we’re online, I’ll instead invite you to explore a bit of my world.
So, make yourself at home. I hope the music resonates… and maybe even sparks something.
But before you dive in, here’s a little bit about me:
I’m a composer, orchestrator, arranger, and music producer as well as a dad, husband, cat servant, travel enthusiast, and lifelong fan of storytelling in all its forms. I love creating music that brings characters to life, sets a mood, and takes listeners on an exciting journey.
Since receiving the Skoda Soundtrack Award at Soundtrack_Cologne 2.0 back in 2005 (time flies!), I’ve worked on a wide range of international projects, including films, commercials, music videos, and radio plays. My credits include work for Discovery Channel, as well as orchestration for the viral BuzzFeed hit “I Wish I Could Be a Disney Princess” with over 25 million views on YouTube.
I was honored to take part in both the BMI Composing for the Screen Mentorship Program (2013) and the SCL Mentorship Program in New York (2016), as well as internships with renowned film composers John Powell and Marco Beltrami all of which deepened my experience in scoring for film and media. In 2021, I received the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Score - Short Film (Live Action) for Fellini Forward, produced by Campari and premiered at the Venice Film Festival. Most recently, in 2024, I was awarded the German Rock & Pop Prize for my score for Hope and Glory - A Mad Max Fan Film, released by MovieScore Media.
As a lifelong moviegoer and a fan of opera, musical theater, concerts, and amusement parks
I’m passionate about supporting stories and characters through music: setting the tone, building emotion, and taking listeners somewhere new.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
I speak English, German, Greek, and Dutch.
I love amusement parks but I’m terrified of extreme thrill rides. I still want to try them so badly!
I compose music using about 20% MIDI keyboard and 80% mouse. Perfectionist? Probably.
As a kid, I wanted to be an actor and spent years in theater, TV, and film but music became the more immediate and emotional way for me to tell stories.
My wife is a singer, and we collaborate often. It’s how we met, and one of my favorite ways to blend life and creativity.
During my studies, I composed a percussion piece for three toothbrushes and yes, it was performed live.
